On July 6-7, the Transport Systems of Russia Strategic Forum was held in Moscow. The event was organised by the National PPP Centre with the support of the Ministry of Transport of Russia, the Federal Road Agency and the state company Avtodor. More than 300 experts from the infrastructure projects market took part in the forum. RISE Capital was represented by its Managing Director and Head of Investments Ruslan Sigeda.
At the forum, discussions were held on regional issues in respect of the preparation of transport projects, the role of state companies in raising extra-budgetary financing to develop transport infrastructure, and prospects for the creation of toll roads in Russia as a whole.
As is customary, the second day of the forum was devoted to educational master classes from market experts. Ruslan Sigeda spoke at one of the sessions about the approach taken by RISE Capital to assess transport projects and their socio-economic efficiency, and noted that strategic planning of such projects in conjunction with other infrastructure is required. The session participants also discussed the direct and indirect effects of transport projects and traffic forecasting issues.
The Transport Systems of Russia Strategic Forum was held at the Digital October conference centre and the KPMG Moscow office.
