Vladivostok hosts the III Eastern Economic Forum on September 6-7. The key topic is the economic agenda of the Far Eastern Federal District and international cooperation. Russian President Vladimir Putin, the President of the Republic of Korea Mun Zhe Ying, the President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga, and the Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe attended the plenary session. In total, more than 4,000 representatives of the government and the business community attended the event. Managing Partner Sergey Romashov represented RISE Capital Investment Group.
About 90 different sessions and discussions were held in the business programme of the forum. The focus of the speakers was investment projects in transport, agriculture and industry, integrated urban development, and integration initiatives of the Asia-Pacific region. The Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Yury Trutnev commented that the programme to increase investments at the EEF-2017 was fulfilled: 217 agreements, investments of 2.5 trillion roubles and 68 thousand jobs. The funds of Russian investors make up 91.7% of the total investments raised.
The Eastern Economic Forum is taking place on the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University on Russky Island.
