Mr. Lopez is a successful entrepreneur, businessman and technologist. He is the chairman and CEO of Nekton Global and a founding partner of Mangrove Capital having funded some of the world’s most successful tech companies including Skype, Wix, or Nimbuzz. He is also the founder of Genii Capital – active in real estate, automotive and financial investments. He is a member of the Advisory Council for Miami University Business School and founded the Act Mangrove Charity foundation promoting education for under developed countries. Gerard Lopez graduated from Miami University with a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems and Operational Management with major in Mathematics and Statistics.
Mr. Romashov is a senior investment banker. From 2010 to 2012, he served as a managing director of the investment division of Sberbank, Russia’s largest banking group. From 2006 to 2010 he headed the private equity department at VTB Capital – another leading Russian financial group. Prior to that, he was a managing director of The Sputnik Fund (Renaissance Capital) – one of Russia’s first major private equity funds.
Sergey Romashov has a master’s degree from the Australian National University and a degree in international economics from the Moscow State University.
Mr. Meurling heads up the operations of RISE Capital Investment Group in Sweden since its foundation.
Before RISE Capital Investment Group, he founded and was CEO of an Eastern Europe and Russia focused hedge fund, which was acquired by a Nordic private bank in late 2013. He also carries considerable management experience from Prosperity Capital and East Capital, two large Russia-focused investment funds.
Carl Meurling has a M.Sc. degree in finance from the Stockholm School of Economics and speaks fluent Russian.
Mr. Sigeda has 15 years of experience in corporate finance and investment banking activities in Russia and abroad. From 2006 to 2013, he served as a senior vice president of investment banking and private equity division of Sberbank – Russia’s largest banking group – concentrating on petrochemical, industrial and real estate sectors. From 2004 to 2006 he was in charge of financial division of Multinational Logistics Partnership – largest Russian developer of warehouses and retail parks. Ruslan Sigeda graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) with Bachelor’s degree in Economics.
Mr. Dorofeev graduated from St. Petersburg State University of Economics. He was engaged in risk management and distressed assets management in the leading Russian and foreign banks, including VTB Bank and Swedbank. Since 2013, Dmitry Dorofeev is responsible for the operational work of RISE Capital Investment Group.
